from the never printed pile

this frame was never printed in the darkroom, because in looking at the image on the proof sheet i just was not that excited about it. now that i have a scanner, it is pretty quick and easy to get an image up on the monitor, so i decided to check it out. eh? not great, it needs cropping so get rid of the crotch rod holder technique. but, there is something about the blending of the trees in the background with the subject. multiple exposre is not what i normally go for, but i think it has it’s merits and can help tell the story in an interesting way.

me and myself

last time i was camping i played around with some long exposure camera work. i set up the camera, tripped the shutter than ran over to my chair and sat for about 30 seconds, then ran back to close the shutter.

Announcing…The Stay Out of Jail Sale!

The economy has put a serious dent in art sales, at least my art sales. Believe it or not, i do have a few responsibilities, one of which is child support. I love my boys, and i don’t mind forking over money to the ex-wife. While i did choose to be an artist and don’t ming the struggle of being a starving artist,(some of the time); i am afraid that i have to do what i have to do to catch up, and stay current, on child support. you really don’t want me to go to jail do you?

AL PAINTINGS ARE 50% OFF the listed price.

If you go to one my painting galleries and click on a thumbnail it will pop up that painting in a picture viewer. beneath the picture is the title and a number, which is the price. 50% off applies to local area pick up or half way delivery, no shipping. (It cost about $100 dollars to crate, insure, and ship a window painting.)

Jones Creek Gallery just added

this is a series of photographs taken along jones creek in north georgia. the campground area gets trashed by humans, however the beauty of nature is patient and persistent, it hides where most are too lazy to tread.
