The Soque River in north Georgia offers some world class trout fishing, most of which is on private land. I recently had the opportunity to tag along with guide Mark Smith for a couple hours of personal fishing in a public stretch of the river. I always say that blue bird skys and bright sun are crappy for both fishing and photography, and true to form, I did not get to see Mark haul in any monsters in the short time I was with him…I will however, return.
